*74 - The Waterfall Hike
060609 - I was camping with my dad and my uncle's family at Sungai Chiling Fish Sanctuary, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor. Yes, its a fish sanctuary, operated by Jabatan Perikanan Selangor. You'll know why later. A very nice place indeed. Bac to the mother nature...
On the road to the destination, we passed through a dam that was so beautiful, too bad i was driving so i cant take any photos. After a full 2 hour drive from my house (with lunch break at McDonald's on the way), finally we reach the entrance.
You wont believe there were so many cars parking at the side of the road. Didnt know so many people came here for a swim, hehe...
The brothers on the way walk to the sanctuary. Same height, same colour shirt, same BIG belly =.= oh god... (my dad on the right)
After a 5 mins walk, you'll reach the compound of the fish sanctuary. An open space with toilet and office built there.
This is our tents. Still unpacking our things.
And of course the very important kitchen area. My cousin brother prepared so much variety of food O.o its totally not like we came for camping.
Since we settle down everything around 4pm, we hav our tea break. Very delicious home-made Pohpiah !!!
Penang style! Juicy type... not like those sold locally tat are very dry ^^

Of course we must hav a place to wash our dishes... and mayb our toilet too :P this is the river at the side of our campsite.
Did u ever saw fruits suddenly grow from a tree trunk b4? There's 3 fruit from the big trunk O.o My dad says its called CANCER of the plants... LoL
Its time to bath~
And we caught a fresh water crab ^^
We hav our camp fire since evening b4 the sun goes down. The smoke did help a lot in preventing mosquitos.
A photo tat looks very special. He is my cousin brother... starting fire on the BBQ set
Dinner... is BBQ time... As usual, chicken, mutton, there's something NEW to me... We put cheese on top of the mushrooms and BBQ... taste kinda good too... we also BBQ capsicum... it taste so good and HOT ^^
Due to the fact tat we forgot to bring the lamps... so we had a full candle light dinner ^^ very very romantic dinner...
The main purpose we came here is to hike to a waterfall. This is a map of the route we took.
You'll be hiking through the jungle...
And 6 very challenging river crossing... The water current are kinda strong...
Each with signs like this... Arrgghh... crossing no5 only... 1 last one to go!!

Oya... i mentioned tat this is a FISH sanctuary... the rivers here were protected... no fishing are allowed... which is why you can see a lot of fishes in the river... During river crossing, the fish were just swimming around you... This is a truly special experience to me... The last time im so near with the fishes was in Redang... in the sea... this is the 1st time i had such experience in the river ^^
Along the way u can see many special sceneries...
Including this pure white mushrooms... must be very poisonous... hehe
And that's our destination... the waterfall...
Had a great time swimming there... there are many "ang mo" around too... Most women are in bikini too :P The best water sport in the pool is rock diving... Its very very deep near the waterfall area... thus a jump into the water from the rock will be FUN ^^
A very nice place for frens to go along... Most people didnt camp there... they make it a one day trip... I'll certainly wanna go again... So i guess i can organise a one day relaxation trip with NTY after we settle everything on our new house XD

*73 - Your Car Petrol, How Much Do U Know?
Did you know the octane number of the fuel selling here?
Did you know wat's the diff of each brand's fuel?
Did you know wat fuel exactly you are pumping into your car?
And finally, did you know RON95 fuel is coming and wat is it?
I guess everyone should be able to differentiate Diesel from Petrol (but somehow my college felo, En.Fahmi still manage to pump diesel into his car O.o), but it seems like 99 out of 100 doesnt know wat's the difference between petrol grades. In Sept, a new fuel RON95 will be introduce into the market and replaces RON92 fuel with some price adjustments. I think i can share a bit of wat i know here.
RON=research octane number. Most car can actually run on fuel with octane number above 91, unless you are driving a very very old car or a Lamborghini, then you may need higher RON fuel. Currently, every fuel selling in Malaysia pumps are RON92 and RON97. Both unleaded. So, wat makes the Brand diff? Some may say Shell more powerful, Petronas give better mileage etc. Its the additives added. The fuel is the same, RON92 or RON97 fuel, with diff additives.
There are many theories and rumours going around on the Shell V-Power that are priced at rm2.05. Shell website publish that V-power is a RON98 fuel. But official statement from the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry state tat fuel is controlled by the government and only RON92 and 97 is available in the market which i believe so. Very reliable automotive news site Paultan.org also state that V-Power is juz a RON97 fuel with special additive mix. SO in another word, you are paying extra for the additives.
By Sept, the new fuel RON95 will be replaceing current RON92 fuel at a price hike of rm0.05 to rm1.75. While the so called "normal" RON97 fuel will be increase rm0.20 or more to at least rm2. So the question is, which fuel will you choose?
Government encourage people to use the new RON95 fuel and enjoy a lower price. I agree that. In normal cars (not those supercars of course), you wont feel the diff of RON95 and RON97 fuel, even the diff of RON92 with 97 is also neglectable. The old carburetor car may need some adjustment of the ignition timing, fuel injection cars will be "plug and play". I'll truely recommend you to use the new RON95 and save more money rather paying for the premium tat you dont need...

*72 - Secrets of Business Transformation
Continuation of post *69. Regarding the insight of MAS transformation by Dato' Sri Idris Jala.
#2: Profit & Loss Anchorage
- Know the profit and loss, thus you can effectively eliminate route (in the case of MAS) that bleeds money.
My thoughts: Im sure in life we do make a lot of choices. If its quantitative, y not list out what u will gain and loss from choice A compare to choice B. Be rational when making choices will help to increase efficiency and maximize benefits.
#3: Discipline of Action
- MAS uses taskforce method to solve their problems. The selected ones will be put in a "laboratory" to focus on the problem until it is solved. Full empowerment will be given.
My thoughts: Are you focus enough when you decided to do something? Or you are the kind of "hangat-hangat tahi ayam" person? Doing something u'll need high discipline and be persistent. Be FOCUS is the key. Check this out.
#4: Situational Leadership
- Due to the fact that MAS needs an urgent transformation, Its CEO practice directive style at the beginning. Gives out order clearly bout what he wants. After this, people working under him dont like him, as usual, just imagine ur new boss came in and changed everything. Until sometime everyone realise what is going on and wat to do, he start to change to empowering style.
My thoughts: This principle is more suitable in organisation i think. Did u notice something? Everyone wans and suggest a change, wanna change the boss, change company, change government etc. But when the change applied, nobody likes changes. People are afraid to change. If you know your direction and what you are doing, u'll hav no choice but to ignore ppl's comments until you reach ur target.
CEO's Words of Wisdom: Always start with the believers. When things going its way, those ppl on the fence will join you. When you produce results, the non-believers will join you too. People are funny, wans result but scare to pave the way.
#5: Winning Coalition
- In a Government-linked Company (GLC) like MAS, everything you do must hav gov's approval. Of course, having a good network will certainly help u in leading the company.
My thoughts: One person's success is never done alone. Everything you do, everywhere you go, you'll need friends or allies coalition to help your way. Only then u'll always hav somebody standby beside you :)
#6: Divine Intervention
- This is the part where u wont learn in Harvard Business School. An essential for life too. I'll hav a full strength coverage on this in the future ^^
Stay tuned.

*69 - 1st Secret of Business Transformation
As i promised, i'll share the knowledge i gained from the Meetup with Dato' Sri Idris Jala. Let's go straight to the point shall we?
1st secret: Play the Game of the Impossible
People are afraid to fail. When you are doing something, if u keep thinking will it fail, you wont be able to do it perfectly. To fully excel to your goal, you'll have to conquer ur fear for failure. The power word here is "It's OK to fail!"
To play the game of impossible, firstly, you'll need to set a Olympic-Target! A target that is so HIGH, its NOT touchable but mayb (in a very small chances) reachable. The best will be a goal that everyone says it cannot be done! If u fail nvm, its ok to fail! Why? Coz its impossible to be done ma right? ;) Get ur motivation running, and go for it without the fear of failure!
An example he gave was A man in his 30s set a goal to be a olympic runner for 100m. Everyone says its impossible. But he was so determined and trained every morning, afternoon and even night. So do you think he can do it? Yes? ..... NO! Of course not, he is in his 30s, how can he be the olympic 100m runner? How can he manage to beat the 20yo runners?
NOW. The point is... Did he transformed? Yes... right? He may not be the world champion but of course he will be the best runner in his community. So wat am i trying to say here? Its about transformation... positive changes... Not a matter of winning or losing...
As a conclusion, for playing the game of impossible, u'll be able to transform or change towards your wanted direction. How will u play the game of impossible?

*67 - All Moms Are Great
I came across this news from Telegraph.co.uk... I was totally amazed by the photo captured...

*66 - My 1st "Forced" Saving ^^ eTiQa Takaful
Everywhere i go... everyone i met... will say the same thing... "You have to SAVE for rainy days" In fact, saving is very important, but exactly how many people manage to do it? Especially in your working life, its harder to save...
I came across this islamic saving in Jusco, Bukit Tinggi Klang. They had a roadshow to promote eTiQa Takaful to the public, especially non-muslims. Out of curiosity, i sat down and got them explain to me wat actually this eTiQa Takaful is about.
Its a islamic saving (Takaful) that opened for non-muslims in the recent years. For my age of 22, i'll be taking its Mesra Plan which contracts for 30 years with a interest of 5.5% to 8% per annum. Minimum saving per month is rm100. It even comes with a life and permanent disability insurance. There's other benefit like no service chargers etc. tat you'll need to check it out urself :)
Lets do some math here... rm100 per month for 30 years (age of 52 O.o)... i'll save a total of rm36,000... with a average interest of 6-7% per annum, i'll assume there's at least rm70-80k... So i'll say at least i'll have a rm100k at the age of 52... (you may not earn money at all if u stop between the 30 years, but at least there's a saving) Kinda like my retirement fund huh? I signed up and paid for the 1st 2 months on this.
Asked my dad for advise, he said tat most worker cant even save a rm100, i'll need serious financial management to save tat EVERY MONTH... so i guess i'll hav to plan every expenditure from now on huh, since i got no stable income yet =.= just make tat my retirement fund or my children's education fund then... LoL... Frankly, its just rm100, not big money but not small either... Stop clubbing once then i'll have that rm100 ^^
Although im late starter but glad i started somehow... What about u? Manage to save for urself? Why not check out other plans offered out there and share it here :)

*65 - Breakthrough #2 (Meeting with CEO of MAS)
So, this will me my 2nd Official breakthrough of my life.
I attended the meeting of "Frens of MH facebook" with CEO of Malaysia Airlines (MAS), Dato' Sri Idris Jala under a survey invitation from Youthsays.com. Frankly i duno wat it will be all about for this conference. What im told from the Youthsays blog is that we can ask whatever question to him and gain insights and inspiration from the biggest gun in one of the biggest corporate in Malaysia, MAS. One of the event's objective is to hear opinions from the youth.
I decided to attend this meeting a day before the event, thus i signed up. But at 1pm yesterday, i was so reluctant to go. I duno wat to wear (as in my blog post *64), i duno wat will happen there, and im going alone =.= Keep wondering should i go or not. Its until i reminded myself to be comfortable with the uncomfortable, then i went, dont care wat will happen la...
The event took place in MAS Training Centre in Subang, the place where they train their students, employee etc. Let the photos do the talking after this. (hate to say, i didnt bring camera, only my O2 =.=)

At the entrance to MAS training centre, There's a Big plane model and 2 alphabet "MH" that stands for Malaysian Hospitality.

So i went in, these is the interior of the training centre. We had our conference in lecture theatre 1.
This is the lecture theatre and the crowd is already there when i got in. I still choose a nice comfortable corner seat yest, i guess i gotta breakthrough this one someday ^^
The seat is comfortable and the table tat attaches to the seat is so much better than my lecture halls table =.=
The guess speaker, Dato' Sri Idris Jala and his wife were welcomed by ovation. His managers all address him as Idris, not his title of Dato' Sri or others, sounds like the team are quite close to each other.
That's a very blur photo of Dato' Sri Idris Jala giving his speech. He talked about the "6 secret for business transformation". Part of it u can learn from the management books but most of it you wont be able to learn even in the Harvard Business School. (i'll share the knowledge in my future post as its VERY VERY long ^^)
Let's see... Wat's make him so special? I'll say most people know the Air Asia CEO than the MAS CEO, even in lowyat.net, there are people commenting that "he rather to and meet the Air Asia CEO". In brief, he is once chairman for Shell Sri Lanka, MD for Shell Malaysia and Vice President in Shell International. He worked his way up until government offered him to be the new CEO of MAS. When the time he joined, MAS was losing like hell (-616m in 4th quarter of 2005 =.=), he only got 3 months time b4 MAS to be declare bankrupt. His leadership brought MAS bac in profit in year 2006 and the best is MAS stil makes money in 2008 even when Air Asia was losing money due to the recession. Im sure u'll like to know wat's his secret ^^ (In my future post)
To know him more, you can check out his corporate life in skorcareer.com and clarin.com. There's a brief introduction and an interview to read on.
Next we hav a Q&A session. The best part of the event: He sings and plays guitar LIVE with the song wrote by his son ^^ WOW... tat's totally cool! His guitar skills dont-play-play ar, the best plucking i ever heard. He made the guitar sounds like 古琴 (influenced by his traditional tribe Kelabit music from Sarawak). I think there's a CEO band video in the YouTube! that also involves Dato' Sri Idris Jala, but its not as good as his solo yest ^^
Muahahahaha~ after the event... i went to do something i never did b4 =.= went to have a hand shake, sayin nice to meet him in person and took a photo ^^ Feels so COOL !!! 1st time 1st time~ lol... never in my life to approach a VIP or guess speaker b4...
They had refreshment in the Cafeteria, a very clean cafeteria. Had my fried mee hoon, a piece of ayam goreng, sandwich, kuih jala and tea. Didnt take the curry puff though.
Here i shared table with another Youthsays.com member, named Razleena. In her 27, working in a company that manage the reservation for the australian airlines. Stranger, nervous and duno wat to talk with her at first but no problem in the end cause she is very friendly and the talkative type. Manage to hav a long chat with her ^^
Because of her, I was given a chance to meet the Assistant General Manager and the MC of the event, Mdm. Pushpalatha. Razleena gave a comment about the Internet Booking on MAS website because she had a problem to book her ticket back to KK. Mdm. Pushpa and one of his team member, John (i hope i spelled it correctly) share the table with us to follow up and ask our opinion on the matter. Spent at least 30 mins chatting before i leave. I can say i really benefited from it.
Last but not least, got a souvenir of MAS chocolate cup with 2 Ferrero Rocher and some Beryl's choc. Lalalalala~ (Scary... a very long post this time =.=)

*64 - Smart Casual?
Its 2nd June in the morning, and i faced a dilemma =.= Im attending a conference by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) for "Friends of MH Facebook" that i got a survey invitation from Youthsays.com in the afternoon. A talk and forum was given and lead by Dato' Sri Idris Jala, MD and CEO of MAS. (Coming soon: Blog for the event ^^)
So the dresscode? Smart Casual =.= In my lifetime i heard of Formal, Semi-formal or Casual, but never a SMART Casual. Wat i going to wear? I scare wat i wear is inappropriate since its the biggest gun in one of the biggest corporate in Malaysia that will be delivering the speech. Things gone worst when the definition of Smart Casual are different by everyone and everywhere i found in the web. Gives you few example that i found =.=
This Smart Casual is the same as the Semi-formal from UPM. Polo T and Long Pants (X Jeans)
This Smart Casual wear consist of T shirt and a coat, Jeans allowed.
This guy i got from google defines Smart Casual as a total formal top with tie and jeans O.o
And this is the most decent one i found. Which also consider as the one im following. I just wear what most ppl wear to clubbing. My Seed long sleeves shirt tat the sleeves are folded up to the elbow, my usual Jeans with Polo leather belt and a white Nike shoe...

Special thanks to: Dayana, Celine, Mei Fong and Jun Fook for answering my status in Facebook... LOL... So i guess im wearing as wat Mei Fong suggested :)

*63 - Guys VS Girls O.o
Ahyap.com is comparing this 2 dance of the guyz and girls =.= So do u see the similarity? or they are total contrastive? If u are a guy u may love the "GeeGeeGeeGeeGee" but i dont think the girls will 100% like the "Yatta!" @.@
THE GIRLS - 1,364,055 views (4.5 star rating)
THE GUYS - 1,375,818 views (4.5 star rating)
O.O but somehow without the MV the songs are good... LOL

*62 - POST-Penang Trip
Im a true procrastinator huh? Delayed for few days to post this entry =.=
Im bac from Penang! (Ya, obviously...) Drove down in Shirvino with Shirley :)
28052009 - After a long hour drive, finally i reached Nibong Tebal. Its time for cooked fresh octopus!!! But too bad... Its not open for business yet, too early in the afternoon =.=
Next trip i'll sure go and sapu all of it! Muahahaha~
At night we went to JZheng's house 1st. Was wondering why so much ppl like to paint their house green recently :/ lol... Its big and confortable... I'll love the Pearl Blue paint in JZheng's room.
The big event at night is Kee's house warming! Another nice house she had. I like the big glass window from the hall. I'll sure do tat to my house in the future XD. And as expected, it all in GREEN again. But i prefer the GREEN rather than the PINK in his brother's room =.=
I'll say her Uncle is rather a good marketer. Although he said that he dont wanna just join us and start advertising his product (Halo brand Spices), but he did it everytime anyway... lol... I think it worth a try, will check it out in Tesco nearby (Mayb a blog review on the product? ^^) Dont hav pictures for the night, our photographer, Michelle was busy EATing :P
29052009 - Its morning and off we go to the Penang Hill. It did changed a lot since my last trip in 2005. Got a new restaurant, stainless steel fence, etc etc. But the canopy walk is not available yet.

(Above) 2009 Penang Hill VS (Below) 2005 Penang Hill, Mika. It did upgraded a lot.
Round 3pm, we checked in at Bayview Beach Resort. Very messy carpark, but the hotel is very nice inside, especially the garden with the swimming pool. Its not cheap but i enjoyed my stay.
Oh god~ I experienced the worst JAM in my life during the night. Damn! its like not moving at all and im stuck on my way to the Penang Bridge for 1 hour. I'll say KL's federal highway is better than tat =.= We rushing for BBQ at Ben's house in Bukit Mertajam. Im 2 hours late :P
Penang food wise *Yummy Manage to EAT: Penang Road Lobak, Loh Mee, Hokkien Mee, Char Kuey Teow, Jawa Mee, 7-Village Kuey Teow Soup, Wan Tan Mee and the best Buffet Breakfast in Bayview Beach Resort! Really the best buffet breakfast compare to my other experience in Hotels over Malaysia.
Really enjoyed my balik kampung trip this time ^^

*60 - In Memory of Happie
Happie, used to be my intelligent-looking Boltz-like puppy as in my post *47.
Received my 1st bad news of the day. Happie passed away last night, as he is biten by wild dogs during the night =.= I was like *Shocked... He was adopted by a friend of Shirley and suppose to be kept IN the house, so how it happened? I duno~ Neoneu is having fun outside the house everyday with the wild dogs but why Happie was biten to death O.o
Im sorry i dont have a chance to take good care of you...

Bathing Happie when he is still in my house...
The photo with Neoneu, having the shadow of Boltz...
Rest in peace, Happie. Dont reborn as a dog again k. Namo Amitabha.

*59 - The CPU That I'd Been Dreaming For
During my schooling days when i was using a desktop, I used to think that why we need a CPU case if we can make it more "geeky" look by just leaving the CPU parts on a flat panel, like a table? Mayb we can put them on a sponge or something, integrate it with the table then i'll hav a Computer-in-the-table...
Cant believe it, someone made this dream come true !!! Dada~ the new Computer-IN-the-table...
(Source: popularmechanics.com)
Its liquid-cooled with half-gallon of glycol, twin 300GB VelociRaptor hard drives, a GeForce GTX 280 GPU, seven fans, a Sony Blu-ray drive, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 3GHz Core 2 Quad processor and won them a lot of attention to their coolest table ever. And for sure u cant get it from the Ikea.
PS: i hope they add a switch for the blue neon light ^^

*57 - Negative? Make it to Positive!
SHOCKING number announced by the government. (here!) We declined 6.2% of economy in the first quarter of this year. Hey, we used to hav 6.2% growth at least in the last few years, and now -6.2% o.O Big news huh?
The loss of jobs, the horrendous stock market, inflation, and everything else that has been happening around us because of the bad economy. This can easily put anyone’s mind in the gutter. I personally believe that most people right now have a terrible mindset. You'll feel demotivated eventually.
First of all, are u a negative news junkie? Why u watch the news? You just wanna know? Or you feel contented after u saw how bad people got murdered and u are still alive? "Economy declined by 6.2%, 100000 people lost thier job" or "The 10 tons lorry carrying cow dung crash on the toll plaza in Ipoh" So, wat u get from this stories? It only give u a negative mindset bout life.
WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH GET GOING - “When the situation gets critical, those who aren’t weak-willed work harder and never give up.
-Joseph P. Kennedy (1888-1969), the father of (U.S.) President John F. Kennedy
Check out this true story. There are people with positive mindset that are able to workout anything out of nothing. Let me remind u this: There are more millionaires made after a bad economy then in a good economy. Its better to invest in bad economy as the cost is lower, and price always soar when economy recovers.
Im not asking u not to read or watch the news. Its just that, set ur mindset right when u got negative news, at least know wat's going on, then read more positive and constructive articles! Why not start with happynews.com? Its a great site with only positive news and articles. Latest news, ppl made an air-powered vehicle u know?

*56 - Kok Kok Kai~
From: Zerotohundred.com
From: Asiaone.com
KL Pimps now sport flashy delivery cars and sharp designer suits.
Quote:
"Driving a flashy Mercedes SLK and dressed in a crisp Armani suit, KaiKo (Chicken Bother in cantonese) looks more like a well to do yuppie than a purveyor of prostitutes. He claims his clientele are mainly English-speaking professionals, expatriates and VIPs. “For them, money is no problem as long as their privacy and safety is guaranteed,” says KaiKo, adding that he accepts clients only through referrals."
Wow... my reaction is like... a KaiKo also can drive a SLK and wearing an Armani suit... This sounds damn professional man...
Quote:
"KaiKo plays down the impact of his lucrative business. "Compared with other vices like drugs and gambling, sex is the most harmless.
