*242 - Eastin Hotel, Penang

Another "Balik Penang" trip for my family this holiday... and this time we stayed in the new Eastin Hotel in Bayan Lepas Penang... Very near to QueensBay Mall... In fact its just 3 mins walk...



Its another business class hotel that is highly advertised in papers, magazines etc... U can tell that too after u notice numerous of signs and billboards pointing ur way to the hotels... Very good publicity i'll say since its still very new and they already got their rooms all filled up this holiday...



Eastin is a very beautiful building... I'll say its one of the best hotel in Penang in design exteriorly and interiorly... Modern urban designing with a sense of nature... Hmmm... (G Hotel still has the best design)



At the lobby, there's a small lounge beside... Very small i'll say... Nothing special there... And on the other corner is the restaurant that serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner... Swee Brasserie... I got to know from Michelle's fren that the chef are sent overseas (France if not mistaken) to learn all the food specialty... No reviews on the food since i did not dine there... Who wanna eat in that restaurant while in Penang? LOL... Local hawker stalls is so so much more tempting xD


Here's the Not-So-Good part... Had quite a bad experience with the service there... Staff were not well-trained and they are all totally BLUR =.= mayb its still new...

We called for reservation few weeks b4 the trip... The receptionist said reservation must be made to the sales department... but we tried to called a few times and for a few days... Its always engaged... I doubt that they have such good business O.o Then we manage to get the receptionist to reserve for us (as wat we're told she will inform the sales department)... When we reached there, there's no room for us... Since we got her name, we asked to girl out to solve the problem... And she said she inform the sales department... and its the sales department fault... After unsuccessful dealing with the sales department officer, we request to speak to the sales manager... One funny question he ask us: "we have 5 managers, which one u wanna speak to?" LOL... really LOLed... How i know which manager i wanna speak to... Just call a relevant manager out la =.=

We got our room... Instead of the room we reserved, there's only 1 seaview room available (suppose its at rm198++ but we manage to have it for the price of rm168++ as the room we reserved)... Wow... Seaview... That's the seaview we had...

I wondered how that small piece of sea cost another rm30++ O.o... Damn not worth it... I can see QueensBay Mall, Pulau Jerejak and the OXO cafe from my room :)

For the rooms... Its very very very very small... They advertised they use LCD tv in every room... And now i know why they use LCD tv... Coz i cant even find a place to put the conventional tv... O.o See for urself...

In conclusion... Its a very beautiful hotel, near to shopping mall but not so value for money and not really that comfortable... I think their service will improve after sometime but meanwhile their staffs are still very blur... LOL... There's still plenty of better hotels out there :P

*241 - Merry Christmas From ElfYourself

My younger bro is having winter holidays in London until he is so free to create a very very cute Merry Christmas Video using our faces =.=!!!

Kind of like Chipmunk singing jingle bells... and our big big face as the elfs... OMG O.o

*240 - Pao Lo 包佬, Famous Pao In Langkap, Perak

This is something u can find in the very very small rural town of Langkap, Perak...

Pao Lo 包佬 that sells all kinds of Pao and very famous among the locals...


My dad got to know this place because his customers in Langkap introduced to em... Its all about fresh made Pao's from the kitchen at the back...


I think my bro's face looks exactly like the Pao =.=


They hav these "Pillow Pao" (枕头包)... filled with fatty pork... Special but not really tat good :/


We also ordered Peanut Pao and Chicken Pao, but i had a Lo Mai Kai "Glutinous Rice Chicken" (糯米鸡)...


Overall its ok... But frankly is nothing special if u compare to those commercialized Pao in the urban city... The beauty of these Pao is the freshness and a healthier choice since its all kampung chicken for the ingredient... Can try if u happens to be in Langkap (i wonders how O.o)

*235 - Why This Job?

Sorry people... Was missing for weeks from the blogosphere :/ Im totally lack of writing inspiration due to sleep deprivation... My data entry job huh...

Yeah... Night shift did make a person's biological clock go haywire... Do consider twice (million times is recommended) if u wish to work night shift =.= Some experience to share... Before u can adapt to the change, u're a total mess... U cant eat, u cant sleep and u cant even find a time to poop :/ I was having problem in identifying which day im in... What's my lunch time and what's my dinner time or perhaps others called it supper and breakfast? O.o

Many ppl had been asking me "Why this job?"... and the fact is i had to agree with u its not a worth-to-do job at all... Odd timing, not a really high pay job, distant workplace, stupid parking charges and blood-sucking tolls, the one and only one mamak available that serve the worst food i ever had... Hmmm... Complains still can go on and on...

Not that i really in need of money to live on, i chose this job just because its offer suits my calendar... Today will be my last day and i'll be enjoying my sem break... To think logic financially, despite those complains i got above, why not i earn some (really SOME after all deductions) rather than i sit at home and do nothing? Unless i got a better job offer, or else i'll stick to this job of course... Not that u can always choose a good job anyway...

Many ppl especially graduates tend to choose their job so fastidiously... End up "this not a good time", "this not having good pay", "this just sucks" or whatever... this doesnt help in anyway financially... It will only waste ur time unemployed (mayb be u can hav some mushrooms after u grow it at home =.=) Why not do some not-so-good job until u find a better offer? Something is better than nothing... Its either u earn money or keep spending money, u still at least need to eat right?

Thus that's how i ended up in this job and trying to detach myself from my comfort zone... Trying to stop my expenditure and at least accumulate some cash too... On the other hand, i noticed how lucky am i compare to my other colleagues... plus Every new place u will learn something new... something its there but u may never realise before... I'll share wat i learned in my next post xD

*230 - Movie Marathon: "Michael Jackson This Is It"

Im currently having my 12 days break before my next paper... duno who the hell arranged this type of schedule... im already started to slack off =.= Zzz

Yest i went to watch Law Abiding Citizen with my NTY mates and coursemates... Gerard Butler acting...

Quite a nice movie... i always like intelligent criminals... Those mastermind that had a plan that is so perfect to control everything... Its kinda like the Joker in the batman movie :D

Then this morning i was woke up by a movie call... Vivian and Purshyla wanted to go for a 3 movie marathon... ya... THREE... and midvalley again... I only got to join them for the last 2 though... The 2pm movie was.... Michael Jackson's This Is It!

Yeah... im a die-hard Michael's fan... Loves his songs, loves his move, loves his mtv... Felt a lost when i heard he was dead... Anyway, I didnt know Vivian is a Michael's fan too... Until today...

If u like Michael... u SHOULD go watch this movie... and go watch the DIGITAL one... The digital one gives u the best sound system for his classics... His songs, concert, everything is all about the beat... U'll need heart punching bass! Its a film shot on his preparation and rehearsal for "This Is It" concert... Directed by his concert director... U'll be amaze about his work... His concert is always so astounding! Oh yea... I found out tat he dont hav his own dancer... Her auditioned thousands for his concert dancers... And its the best he got from the country... Everyone was so eager to dance/play or just stay on stage with him...

Best part was his new "Thriller" short film... They shoot it in 3D for the concert... Nice and "hair-erecting"... Got new video for the Earth Song, Smooth Criminal... Bla bla bla... Just cant describe it here... Go watch it! Seriously...

Then 5.40pm show i watched Inglourious Basterds... by Brad Pitt and many new faces...

A film that i havent heard b4 and never watch its trailer b4 and never even saw its poster b4... LOL... Its a World War II themed movie bout the war among the Allies and the Nazi's... A old kind of movie shooting style... with Chapters along the movie O.o ... A bit budget kind of feel... But its something different... haha...

Had great movie days this week... with the indulgence of Delicious tiramisu... Its simply the BEST!

*203 - Grandest 1Malaysia Raya Open House!

My family was invited by my mum's student to their Raya open house... Its inside a kampung near my house...

We followed the direction given... until we saw one big house in the middle of no where O.o We'd reach the place i guess...

How i wish my house got a field that are enough to be a car park for events like this... @@

My mum's student is totally a 1malaysia product xD he got an Indian father (and a very young one!), Malay mother, siblings attending chinese schools... Wow...

I saw whole Malaysia there... with the concept of Muhibbah... the crowd invited are multi racial... Malays, Indians, Chinese... It feels so warming...

Had very good food too... There's mutton and beef satay, rendang mutton, indian style vege, to go with nasi briyani and pampadum, while on the other side there are BBQ whole lamb available :)'' Yummy~

And the surprise i had is this... i pi jalan jalan then i saw his garage...

A Merc, an Alphard.... and even the Porsche Cayenne is quite common on the road... but i saw this very very very low height car... From far i still thought i saw a Lamborghini... i was wrong....

Its not!!! Saw the LOGO???? Yes! Its a Ferrari under the cover...... Holy shit... I never expect to hav a Ferrari here inside the kampung O.o (its not the latest Ferrari... but still its a Ferrari right? :/)

ps: Marrying his daughter will be a good option (quite pretty too u know)... LOL :P

*202 - Selamat... Hari Raya~

Selamat Hari Raya my frens! Hope im not too late :P got 30 days raya right? hehehehe

Hmmmm... Anyone miss me?

I'd been missing for 3 days i suppose... Paiseh paiseh...

Had a day doing nothing, then went to drink coco eat banana, had a crazy night, then off i went to PD... so many things to update for Raya holiday... yet im so so lazy...

Just bac from a Raya open house... Show u the photos later xD something really caught my attention there O.o

*186 - Broga Hill, Semenyih Merdeka Hike

I was very attracted to the Broga Hill, Semenyih when i saw its pic :D Its was describe as The Sound Of Music hill in Malaysia! So i dragged my whole family go~ Hiking!

And we leave our house around 5.45am where the sky is still so so dark... Zzz

This is the 1st time i get to see such beautiful morning view on LDP near my NTY house... U know la... my wake up time :P

Reached there... So up up up we go! Its not a very difficult track... Just a bit steep at some point... It took nearly 1h with my mum's speed xD

And here we are... At the midhill...

Its Merdeka Day! We hav many patriotic Malaysians carrying Jalur Gemilang... I love Malaysia!

Its actually a one day hike to Broga Hill by the Rukun Tetangga of Kampung Broga...

We even hav a very very cute Doggie with Jalur Gemilang on em ^^

Up here... Its all lalang... And some very weird flowers...

*156 - Yuki, Its Your Birthday... At Small Genting

Happy Birthday Girl! Be really happy k... This is the 1st birthday post in my blog u know... We celebrate it at look out point or better known as small genting... (i know i still owe my wife and a few of u a look out point trip :P)

If u are curious who Yuki is... This is Yuki... with a big mouth XD
Was trying to ruin her image... wakaka...
Her 10 pieces of birthday cakes... From Biz Cafe... Some are quite nice though...
Duno y the Gasoline waiter bring us this Styrofoam container for our cakes... This is definitely not GREEN!
Hey... tat's my melted cake! lol... a bit of yucks!

And this is not me k... JShuang forced me to look like im a heavy eater only... hehehehehe
That green drink over there is something very NEW... 1st taste sour, 2nd taste u feel familiar... We found out tat its SUNLIGHT dishwasher... Im sure they blend Sunlight with ice to make tat lemon lime flavour... hehehehe...
This is my Incredible Hulk... Its in the kids cartoon world menu but duno y i also got tempted... Its not good... pls dont order it... We tried mixing this Shitty Hulk with the Sunlight Ice Blended... And it taste like the taste of USED dishwasher that just cleaned ur plates =.= WTF
Ok... something good here... hehe... its marmite cod fish! my dinner... Love it!
JShuang die die also wan me to be shorter than her... See i duck so much d still same height... aiks...
Glad to hav no haze yest night... Still the best view u can find in KL ^^
And something stupid tat i shouldnt share =.= 38-ing but JShuang look so dark... Feels like sitting with a GHOST though... :/
