被大预制板死死压着，他一直坚持了70多个小时，但神志清醒，还能和救援人员聊天。四川电视台在现场直播救援他的过程，他说要回家和老婆好好过日子，说不能让老婆肚子里的孩子一出生就没爸爸，他说“大难不死，必有后福”。 6个小时后，他终于被救出。但他却在半小时后离开了人世。救援武警边做人工呼吸边说：“你这个‘傻子’，你都坚持了这么久了……”女记者哭喊着摇着他的手：“你醒醒，你老婆还在等你回家呢！”电视台的直播主持人哭得说不出话了，节目被迫中断……
他叫陈坚，一个在北川打工的青年，26岁；看了电视直播的观众，上网传递消息，眼泪淹没了网络……
