Yo! Been wanted to share this for quite sometime now... Was thinking to blog more since I acquired iBlogger app but somehow it didn't happen... Hmmm... Ok... I'm lazy :P

*255 - The Best Pisang Goreng!

When food hunters all hunt for all those "premium" foods... they tend to forget about the local taste... One of our Malaysia special is the PISANG GORENG!

My colleagues bought some pisang goreng for everyone and it just taste so delicious... Sweet and crispy... She brought me to the stall last few days... Unbelievable in my eyes... People are queuing so long just to wait the banana to be fried... I heard there's always more demand than the supply...

 Can u believe that queue... All of them were just waiting... staring at the stove...

*250 - Looking for "Pay for Biomedical Science in Malaysia"?

Something surprised me on the analytics provided by Nuffnang for my blog... i got a search hit on "pay for biomedical science in Malaysia"...

Actually i didnt really wrote about pay for biomedical science graduate in my blog b4... i just rant before that the pay for biomedical science graduate isnt good enough for me... mayb that's the keywords that attracted the hit... This led me wanted to share wat i knew with all my readers here...

Disclaimer: im going into my final year and obviously i havent really graduated yet... all info i shared here is solely experience and counseling i got from seniors, lecturers, friends and forum... may not be 100% accurate but it will be a good reference for ya... if u found any of my infos were wrong or any good infos to share, feel free to leave comments in this post... we as biomedical science students need inputs from the experienced :)

As a biomedical science degree graduate... wat u really can do with it? Most ppl will go into sales and marketing... promoting pharmaceutical drugs, biomedical research equipment and kits... One of my senior is working in this industry and his basic is rm2k... but it comes with a lucrative commission from sales volume... if u're hardworking enough, u can pump until rm6k in no time...

Another choice is to work in pathology labs and diagnostic labs... For those ppl that dont really like to deal with ppl (you shouldnt be), this is a good choice for ya, u;ll be doing lab job, routine and stable income of rm1.8k-2.8k is achievable... One of my fren went enquiring in a private well-known pathology lab, they offer him rm3k including all the allowance... About the same pay goes to the insurance underwriter...

Let's say we further our studies, im sure there's some fellowship programme that u can apply to... in my uni, we can get rm1.5k as allowance with fee exemption if we successfully applied for the Graduate Research Fellowship... Seems quite good to me...

As a junior lecturer after u finish ur phD... (the info i got quite surprise me) we will be only having rm3k-rm4k as a start (basic la, dont worry)... or an experienced phD will be at 5k-6k... and only after that u hav to climb ur own ladder to more than rm10k or even rm20k as a professor... That will be at least 40 years old i think O.o

*239 - Post-Job: I'm Grateful

Talking bout my last job... (finally im writing bout it :P)

My night shift ended after 6am... 7something if there's OT... Frankly... Its been a very long time i'd missed the Sunrise and totally forgotten the beauty of it... The view of nature is always so fascinating... This job allowed me to cherish the Sunrise once again... I felt so energetic every early morning (though mayb that's my punch-out time xD), listened to Hitz.fm morning crew, watching the city lights go off one by one... It gave u inspiration and motivation with "Its a new day!" kind of feel... Why dont u try rising early and experience it urself... with a good breakfast meal, these sure will make ur day!

*235 - Why This Job?

Sorry people... Was missing for weeks from the blogosphere :/ Im totally lack of writing inspiration due to sleep deprivation... My data entry job huh...

Yeah... Night shift did make a person's biological clock go haywire... Do consider twice (million times is recommended) if u wish to work night shift =.= Some experience to share... Before u can adapt to the change, u're a total mess... U cant eat, u cant sleep and u cant even find a time to poop :/ I was having problem in identifying which day im in... What's my lunch time and what's my dinner time or perhaps others called it supper and breakfast? O.o

Many ppl had been asking me "Why this job?"... and the fact is i had to agree with u its not a worth-to-do job at all... Odd timing, not a really high pay job, distant workplace, stupid parking charges and blood-sucking tolls, the one and only one mamak available that serve the worst food i ever had... Hmmm... Complains still can go on and on...

Not that i really in need of money to live on, i chose this job just because its offer suits my calendar... Today will be my last day and i'll be enjoying my sem break... To think logic financially, despite those complains i got above, why not i earn some (really SOME after all deductions) rather than i sit at home and do nothing? Unless i got a better job offer, or else i'll stick to this job of course... Not that u can always choose a good job anyway...

Many ppl especially graduates tend to choose their job so fastidiously... End up "this not a good time", "this not having good pay", "this just sucks" or whatever... this doesnt help in anyway financially... It will only waste ur time unemployed (mayb be u can hav some mushrooms after u grow it at home =.=) Why not do some not-so-good job until u find a better offer? Something is better than nothing... Its either u earn money or keep spending money, u still at least need to eat right?

Thus that's how i ended up in this job and trying to detach myself from my comfort zone... Trying to stop my expenditure and at least accumulate some cash too... On the other hand, i noticed how lucky am i compare to my other colleagues... plus Every new place u will learn something new... something its there but u may never realise before... I'll share wat i learned in my next post xD

*234 - Kinda My Easiest and Worst Job

Cant believe im still so so busy until i left my blog alone even after my finals... Events after events, functions to attend, friends to entertain and pile of things to do that got me insane =.=


Im hooked up to a data entry job Joachim introduced... We're suppose to key in the center no. and candidate number on the exam papers tat UK students sat for... Something i dont understand though... Why dont they use Optical readers for this numerical entry? Imagine u're wasting resources paying hundres of ppl, doing 3 passes to check the accuracy of the data, jeopardize hundred's health as we're working UK time... Oh god...

Basically quite a boring routine job working like a robot =.= u type in wat u see, next, type in wat u see, next~ for the whole damn night... From now on, i swear i wont be complaining if anyone keys in my info wrongly... Now i know how hard it is =.=

So tat's my life recently... Just a temporary project so i guess i'll be free soon... with a bit of extra cash :)

ps: dont ask me out to mamak recently... im having mamak (the only place nearby) for supper everyday :/

*28 - Dutch Lady Exhibition Room 4 & 6

My god ... I was so so lazy n "postponed" my blogging for few days d ... hehehe ... just some photo gallery then~
This is the room 4. That's the small small table that u and me used to love to draw on them :) Kids can draw and colour with crayon or colouring pencils.
There's a big big bed in room 4 for bedtime stories too... Pirate koko or Princess jie jie will entertain all the kids with 6 choices of bedtime stories... The few choices are (1) Cinderella (2) Cinderella (3) Cinderella (4) Cinderella-la-la-la n etc... O.o i really mean it... their list of stories for the kids to choose is juz diff fonts of the same story titles ... hahahaha~ damn...
He's part time too... from UTAR... Biotech... Same age as me... His work place is ON BED !!! Which i envy so much ... my god !!!
This is the Princess jie jie... The real person looks so so young... and we and other crew even doubt on her age... hehehe... turned out we are same age also =.= Remember Yin Sim's fren i was talking about in last blog? She the one tat is holding the big red book... and her height cha bu duo same as me leh... hate tat part... lol ... very nice person :)
Next is the room 6... The UV room of solar system... All bright coloured thingy were glowing in there... Very nice... Its also a hide-out place for the crew... hehe... since its a closed room...
Didnt know my shoe can glow so pretty under the UV... should fix some UV lamp in night clubs ma :P hehehehe ...

*27 - Dutch Lady World Of Effective Learning

FINALLY !!! i finish my 12 days of non-stop 10-10 work... For ur information, i work for Dutch Lady World Of Effective Learning in Mid Valley Exhibition Centre under Oridea Sdn Bhd which is an event organising company. It was FUN very enjoyable yet tiring~
After this week i really wondered tat how can those ppl in shopping malls really survive for working 12 hours per day?? Its like work, back home n sleep, wake up then work again =.= I travelled from Klang by car everyday, through tat freaking jammed federal highway, thus i need to leave my house at 8am... after work, i reach home at round 11pm... REALLY really "work, back home n sleep, wake up then work again" =.= No personal time to spend at all...

There's 50+ crews from various universities. But half of it is from UPM O.o and worst, the most (7 person) is from BIOMEDIC !!! All 3rd year seniors include my direct buddy Pui San (was shocked when met her during the briefing the day b4 work)
I was stationed at room 5 (living and dining room) which kids has a chance to play with memory game, drawing on the black board with chalk, climbing the stairs and also play-dough. Such a game really leaves a mess after all those kids had a hand on them :/ this is how room 5 looks like:

The most comfortable part of my room !!! Called the living room, i really LOVE the sofa, especially weekdays when there is not much customers... hehe~ kids can play dough here...

This is so called the "dining" area... Kids can play dough or draw with chalks on the other table... I hate cleaning up this room !!! The ball on the cupboard there did entertained me for the last few days... since the room is quite open... we played volleyball with tat "baby-volleyball"... hehe

I hav 4 girl "roomates". 12 days of facing each other day and night can really create a strong friendship bond. Though something funny is we room 5 like 搞小圈子... only sticks to our group... Other crew did organise breakfast at Kim Gary, Domino Pizzas lunch bla bla bla for everyone... but seems like room 5 got no representative that joins them :P instead we hav our very own Korean Food Plan... Muahahahahha~

World got upside-down recently, im the BIO guy there while 4 girls are in PHYSICS =.= That Choi Yoon definitely is my classmate tat took English for Workplace at main campus UPM. She 100% not like the one i knew in class (quiet, a bit of introvert and a "listener" =.=) my GOD !!! She is a 101% SPEAKER !!! or LOUD speaker... hahahaha~ now Single... She said she will kill me if i ruin her image to my coursemates :P come kill me la then~ lalala.... p/s: She's 147+cm tall O.o
Wen Pei is her friend since kindergarden, studying civil in UTM Johor. She's having the exact same name as my wife but terbalik only -_-||| She's the initiator for each n every MADNESS going on around... Got a 2 months BF...

Chooi Yee and Hui Kien are from UM... Studying estate management, which manage all kinds of property (i dunno how)... Chooi Yee n BF had been together for 3 years n 9 months, SURPRISINGLY, their anniversary is same date as me and my wife, 7th of FEB !!! Hui Kien is not available too, 1 year+ ... hehe... Her story is she went for a Taiwan trip for 21 days... Got to know a guy that following the same tour that coincidently sit beside her for buses n airplanes... 10+ days, that guy hold her hand suddenly (too freezing in Taiwan mayb :P) then POOF! Know each other 10+ days only leh... LOL... 开玩笑!

The best is the LAST day !!! We decided to make a Countdown Board !!! For every half hour we cancel the time once... Muahahahahaha~ It's a countdown to our Korean Food actually...
MY GOD !!! still got a lot to blog leh ... Continue tonight... Next will be bout room 4 (Bedroom) which got story telling bla bla bla, know a friend from room 4... guess wat, she's Yin Sim's best friend, Shu Wen, from KT !!! And also the most beautiful dark room (Night School)... Stay tuned~
